Rustavi: Theater on Pirosmani Street

There is a grand theater building on Pirosmani Street. Looks pretty good on the outside, but when I went inside, most of it is sad. Exception: The theater proper (seating and stage area) is undergoing massive restoration.

On a wing of the second floor, there are many rooms, most of them locked. From what I could tell (by peeking through knotholes or door jambs, it looks like they might be used for music or dance classes.

Although much of the building, its rooms, and halls have fallen into decrepitude, there is still great beauty in their lines.
