In Alamogordo, the sound I heard every day was of the doves. I wrote about them several times:

Here in Opelousas, I have a new daily sound outside my window, that of the fish crow. Unlike the doves, the fish crows are raucous talkers. I kinda like it. Attitude. The recording below is a more sedate accent than what I hear every day, but it's similar:
